(1) How do I sign up / login to my Affiliate account?
There are two logins on our website:
Affiliate login: This is not to be confused with the main customer login (see below). To create an affiliate account or login to your affiliate account, you must go to the top right where it says "Affiliate" and from the drop down menu click Affiliate signup / login. When you have ticked to accept the terms of conditions of registering, you must click the save symbol (looks like a floppy disc) on the top right of the page. Click here to get started!
Customer login: The login link on the green bar is for customers of our books, if they want their payment details recording for their next purchase. However, you don't have to create an account to buy a book.
(2) What is a Sovereign World affiliate?
An affiliate is like a Sovereign World sales agent, but is only applicable to online sales made at www.sovereignworld.com. Anyone can sign up and it’s free to do so. All you have to do is open an account with a username and password, and then you can get started earning money!
(3) How do I earn money?
Using our special online affiliate tools, you simply refer your friends, colleagues or church members to our website and if any one of them make a purchase of a Sovereign World product on our website you automatically receive 10% of the value of that sale. So, if a friend buys a book for £10.00, you receive £1.00.
(4) What do I have to do?
This is an online opportunity. Our affiliate program has several tools to help you, depending on your level of ability using the internet. For those with basic knowledge, you can use our email campaign tool, which can be found in your affiliate menu.
Email campaign:
Login to the affiliate panel, and using the campaign tool simply type in the email addresses of those you want to tell about Sovereign World books, add a subject and a message – then copy and paste {afflink} into your message. It may not look like a link, but by inserting "{afflink}" our software magically converts this into a weblink when it appears on the recipients email.The recipient will see a special link to our website and will identify you to us as the referring affiliate. Our software will track anyone clicking this link and if they make a purchase, we will know it came from you. Easy! Please note: email referrals will only work if the message is created and sent through our online affiliate panel. It won’t work if composed using your usual email. Try testing it by sending yourself an email.
Websites (banner ads):
If you have a website or blog you can add our designed banner adverts or text adverts to your page(s). You can access these from your affiliate menu, clicking “Banners & Ads”. Just copy and paste the code into your site, and your special affiliate identifier will be embedded in the banner or text link. You will eventually see which banners you are getting the most hits on.
(5) How do I know if I received a sale?
When you are signed up you will have your own personal affiliate panel on our website. It is here that you can track how many visits your friends have made to our website, and how many of those made purchases. More importantly, you will be able to see how much money you have made from those sales. Go to the left of the screen where your affiliate menu can be seen (once you are logged in to the affiliate area) and click “sales” for details or view “summary” for a quick glance of your account.
(6) How do I get paid?
If you are a UK bank account holder there are three convenient options from which you can select a method of payment. Go to “preferences” in the affiliate panel to specify the option you prefer. UK account holders can be paid either via Paypal, cheque or bank transfer. If you live abroad and don't have a UK bank account, then we cannot process any payment via bank transfer or cheque. All affiliates living outside the UK must have a PayPal account, otherwise we regretfully cannot process payment to you and your account could be deleted (even if commission is shown to be owing). Sovereign World is under no obligation to pay out commission if overseas affiliates do not have a PayPal account. Whatever method of payment you choose, you are required to provide the necessary details to enable us to process your payment. You can edit your payment details in preferences any time. To change your address details, you need to click the “edit details” link in the affiliate menu.
(7) What are Tier Earning Rates?
Whilst these details appear on the summary section of the affiliate panel, we are not currently using this scheme. Please ignore.
(8) Why are my payment and personal details not appearing?
Please make sure that a) you have created an account and b) that you clicked the save icon on the top right of the “preferences” and “edit details” pages.
(9) Why are my friends visits to the website and their purchases not being recorded on my affiliate panel?
If you are using email, you must ensure a) you are not referring friends from your own email client, e.g. Outlook, Apple Mail, gmail, hotmail, Yahoo etc. You MUST use our special email campaign tool located in your affiliate menu. b) you need to ensure that you copy and paste {afflink} (meaning you copy and paste the brackets and words) into your message and not for example {www.sovereignworld.com}. This is critical. Try a test to your own email.
(10) Why is nobody responding to my email campaign?
Nobody likes suspicious email messages trying to sell something! We also don’t want to be seen as a source of “spam” (unwanted email, or in other words “junk mail”). When creating an email campaign, try and make sure you know the people you are sending the message to and that they would be interested in Christian books. The message must be composed thoughtfully, and be personalized by you to make your sales pitch both authentic and enthusing. (11) Why is nobody responding to my website banner adverts?
Make sure that you copied and pasted the html code supplied with the banner and text adverts. You cannot just save the banner image and insert the image into your site. You need the html code, as this identifies you to our website as the referring affiliate. It may be that people are clicking the image and you set it to go to www.sovereignworld.com, but you can’t be identified as the referring affiliate because you did not include the code supplied in your affiliate panel, which contains your specific ID.
(12) Why are only UK residents able to have more payment options?
Very high international bank transfer rates make it unfeasible to make small payments to residents outside the UK. For this reason we insist on those without UK bank accounts to have PayPal accounts to receive money. If you live abroad but have a UK bank account then you can select a bank transfer.
(13) What if I am unhappy with the affiliate program, and believe I am not being rewarded with my due commission?
It is in our interests that our affiliates are successful! You can of course email us with any complaints, using our site’s “contact us” link, which we will review. However, we take no responsibility if for any reason, due to software failures or errors, that somehow you do not receive commission for a link referred from you. We are also regretfully unable to offer detailed levels of technical support. Nevertheless, we do assure you that we will, to the best of our knowledge and technical ability, reward all referrals. We are a company that wishes to operate on a basis of integrity and honesty. The success of our affiliate scheme very much relies on the user’s correct use and administration of the software.
(14) Do you pay commission on offline sales?
This affiliate program is strictly for online sales only with www.sovereignworld.com. We do not pay any commission on sales made to us in any other way. If a friend you referred buys a Sovereign World book from a bookshop instead then we are not obliged to pay a commission. We do not have an offline selling scheme available to the public.
